After dropping his music video for his track “What’s up?” along with Lisa Mishra, KR$NA has dropped the visualizer for the track “Role Model”, featuring Faris Shafi & Karma. But it seems, fans are not completely happy about it.
On 12 August, the rapper dropped the official visualiser for the track “Role Model” which is a collaborative track with the artists, Faris Shafi & Karma. Released as a part of the surprise EP, “For The Day One$”, this track is a fan-favourite after its release. The song is a throwback to the haters. KR$NA calls out those who point at him for being a bad role model by saying that he was never a good role model. He was never a role model so to expect him to be on his best behaviour does not make sense.
While the song was met with a very positive response, the same cannot be said about the music video. Many fans are disappointed with the quality of the video. Many fans have also criticised the lack of camera work and the heavy editing. The criticism was heavy because the video was initially released as an official music video but was called “Visualiser” after it was met with criticism. “Kya matlab camera presence ko koi judge na kare esiliye aisa video bana diya ”, “Iss visualizer ke liye jitne clips record krne me mhenat lgi h usse accha ek mv ban jati ”, “When the cameraman’s on vacation, but the editors are working overtime!”, “How Many Transitions Effects Do You Want? Kr$na: Yes”.
At the same time, few fans have come to the defence of KR$NA and have been asking others for a bit more understanding. “KR$NA dropping back 2 backtracks is not normal, it’s a month of occasions and KR$NA took it seriously”, “Kon kon maanta hai Kr$na number 1 rapper hai ”.
It is important to understand that one cannot be perfect all the time. While fans may not be happy with the video, there are more things KR$NA has to offer to his fans like his love for hip-hop.
