Seedhe Maut announces their new album DL 91 FM, dropping May 2025 under their own label DL91. Featuring 30+ artists including Samay Raina, this Desi hip-hop project celebrates raw talent and indie spirit straight from Delhi.

Seedhe Maut, the Delhi-based hip-hop duo made up of Calm and Encore ABJ, are gearing up to drop their next big project – DL 91 FM, arriving in May 2025. This one’s not just about them though. It’s a crew effort, a full-circle move for a group of artists making noise straight outta Delhi’s underground.

Let’s rewind a bit. After parting ways with Azadi Records in 2024, Seedhe Maut launched their own independent label called DL91. But this label isn’t just a name on paper – it’s a platform built from the ground up, focused on giving space to emerging voices, nurturing homegrown talent, and spotlighting Delhi’s own sound. 

Now, enter DL 91 FM, the label’s debut full-length album. Featuring around 30 artists, most of them associated with DL91, this project is shaping up to be one of the most collaborative drops in recent Desi hip-hop memory. 

Instead of spotlighting just big names, this one’s all about collective energy and giving a stage to everyone, from seasoned names to fresh voices.

Of course, Seedhe Maut are front and center, bringing their signature punchlines and unpredictable flows. Alongside them, artists like OG Lucifer, Lil Bhavi, GhAatak, King Smokey, are contributing their own unique sounds. 

Each one adds a layer to this sonic experiment – from gritty verses to trippy production choices.

A curveball that’s got everyone curious? The addition of Samay Raina – yes, the well-known stand-up comedian – who’s stepping into the rap world with a track titled “Bechara”. 

While some might expect comedy bars, early buzz says he’s actually showing real lyrical intent. Whether it lands or not, it’s a fun twist that adds something different to the mix.

That said, let’s keep expectations realistic. While the scale of the album is definitely impressive, and the vision behind DL91 is refreshing, the final sound is still under wraps. With such a big lineup, it’s more of an open creative playground than a polished studio album – and that’s the point. DL 91 FM is meant to reflect the diversity, chaos, and potential of Delhi’s hip-hop pulse.

At its core, DL 91 FM is about independence – not just in name, but in approach. This is Seedhe Maut testing a DIY blueprint for how Desi hip-hop can grow without being filtered through major labels. It’s ambitious, yes, but not overblown.
