LOVE, RAP, FRIENDSHIP, NAEZY: KR$NA ON THE MENSXP PODCAST

KR$NA has appeared on the “Mensxp” podcast hosted by Sadhika Sehgal. Considering the closed-off nature of the artist, this podcast has helped fans know more about him. He shared his views on hip-hop, hip-hop culture and DHH, his music writing process, Naezy, fame, money, love and heartbreak.

In the podcast, KR$NA answered questions related to his introverted nature and childhood. Saying that he has become a bit more socially active now, the rapper confessed that he talked even less when he was younger.

KR$NA also talked about how he started writing and advised young writers that they can only improve if they write: “To be a better writer, you have to write”. For him, writing a rap is 80% hard work and the rest is talent. Believing that hard work triumphs over talent, he considers the good raps he writes are the results of his hard work.

He also shared his views on rap and hip-hop culture. He gave a deep explanation about how rap started with people talking over rap and resulted in the creation of the genre of rap music. He also talked about why Eminem is the most loved rapper in India and how people in India are unwilling to understand hip-hop culture in India which has led to the slow growth of the genre in India.

Moving ahead, he also talked about Naezy. Despite not knowing Naezy that well, KR$NA said that it was his choice to participate in Bigg Boss so he has no reason to feel bad. Disregarding the whole debate about old vs young Naezy, KR$NA believed that what Naezy once did was fresh and unique. He also said that he would never be able to participate in such a reality show as he doesn’t have an interesting personality and people would get bored easily.

KR$NA also talked about love and heartbreak. Being the hip-hop head he is, he said that he had fallen in love only once and that was with hip-hop. He also said that heartbreaks are part of life and that he has moved on now. His ideal relationship is the kind where professional life can flourish as well. He also believes that relationships must be kept private and not be flaunted in front of the media.

He also talked about his friendship from college and school days and his friendship with Samay Raina. He also shared his views on how he felt about the use of his song “No Caps” in a reel shared by “Wimbledon”. He humbly answered that due to the large presence of the Indian audience online, people are trying to capture the Indian audience’s attention by using Indian songs.

In the end, he advised the younger generation that they must work hard. No matter what they desire, they can achieve whatever they want if tey have a clear vision and work hard towards it.

With his shy and sweet responses, the rapper seems to have won the hearts of the fans. Many also found it quite humorous how he cleverly managed to dodge a few questions that he was unwilling to answer.
