RAFTAAR’S APPEARANCE IN BIGG BOSS SPARKS CONTROVERSY AMONG ELVISH YADAV’S FANS

Exciting news Desi hip-hop fans!!! Raftaar has appeared on the first Weekend ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss. While many Indian hip-hop fans were thrilled to see Raftaar and host Anil Kapoor grooving to his latest track Morni, the Elvish Army had a different opinion. The mention of the word “systum” while supporting rapper Naezy, has triggered a few of Elvish Yadav’s fans.

On 31 June, the first Weekend ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss OTT3 was released on Jio Cinema. Adding to the thrilled ambience of the episode was the presence of rapper Raftaar who appeared as a guest (along with Raghav Juyal and Lakshya Lalwani from the movie Kill). As the cameras were focused on the entrance, Raftaar walked in jamming to his new track “Morni” (along with Sukh E, featuring Bhukmika Sharma) as the host Anil Kapoor joined him. This track stands as quite special as it is one of the very few songs Raftaar has released after his album “Harddrive Volm. 1”. While promoting his new track, he did not forget to show his support for his fellow brother. Naezy rose to fame after featuring in the hit rap track “Mere Gully Mein” along the rapper DIVINE for the movie Gully Boy that is based on a fictional version his character.

When Anil Kapoor inqured if he was a fan of Bigg Boss, Raftaar responded affirmatively, adding that Naezy is his brother (“Naezy humara bhai hai”). To show his support for the “Mere Gully Mein” rapper, Raftaar dedicated a verse to him:

“100 take ki bat hai,

systumm se bhi jyada crazy.

Sare duniya ki aisi teisi,

idhar desi, udhar Naezy.”

While this was initially seen as a very heartwarming moment of one rapper supporting another and was met with praise, a few Elvish Yadav fans felt otherwise. Many felt that the mention of the word “systumm” was quite unnecessary. They feel that mentioning of the word “systumm” in the verse was an obvious throwback to the pioneer of the work Elvish Yadav who was the winner Big Boss OTT 2. Many fans have even taken to the comment section of Raftaar’s social media to express their discontentment and have accused him of using Elvish Yadav to gain views. Many Elvish army has filled his comment section with comments like: “Elvish wale like karo bhai Systumm ka power dikhao” (elvish’s people like here, show the power of systumm), “Kya din aagaye raftar ke elvish ke naam se views lene pad rahe” (what days have come, Raftaar has to use Elvish’s name to gain views), “Elvish bhai on top”.
