Rap Drama Unleashed: Thoratt’s ‘Saanp Seedhi’ Sparks Feud with Bantai Records!

Gather around, hip-hop heads and rap enthusiasts, because we’ve got some spicy drama cooking in the world of desi rap! Thoratt, who shot to fame with his fire track ‘Bohot Hard’ with Emiway has announced the release of his new banger titled ‘Saanp Seedhi’! But wait, there’s a twist!

On March 10th, Thoratt took to his Instagram to tease his upcoming track with a cryptic caption: “It’s not for kids.” Cue the excitement! Fans were hyped for some fresh Thoratt vibes, but some began to speculate whether this new joint might be throwing shade at none other than Emiway Bantai, Thoratt’s former record label owner.

Let’s rewind a bit. Thoratt, the 26-year-old lyrical maestro, was once under the wing of Emiway’s Bantai Records. The label was Emiway’s brainchild, a hub for hip-hop talent to shine which he started back in 2020. But lately, there’s been a bit of turbulence in the air. While the solidarity among the label and the artists lasted for a long time, in recent times, a lot of artists have been seen leaving the record label. Thoratt himself bid adieu to the label in August 2023.

Initially, it seemed like Thoratt’s departure was all sunshine and rainbows. But then, during a livestream with Shaggy Dushi, he dropped some truth bombs that had fan’s jaws hitting the floor. Thoratt spilled the tea, calling out his former label mates “snakes” who were more two-faced than a mixtape. Ouch!

According to him,  the label had both good people and bad people initially, but with time, the record label seemed to have flipped completely. It was not the same anymore and he felt as if he was losing his value within the label. So he decided to go independent. He also mentioned that he was treated unfairly but he refused to give any details about it.

Now, here’s where it gets juicy. Despite all the drama, Thoratt has publicly maintained that he was cool with Emiway. But fans, being the Sherlock Holmes of the rap world, smelled beef in the air. Thoratt’s subtle digs coupled with his exit from Bantai Records raised eyebrows.

Just when you thought the pot couldn’t get any hotter, Thoratt dropped the news of his new bombshell: ‘Saanp Seedhi’ and fans went bananas. But hold up, because there’s another player in this rap game. MeMax, a Bantai Records artist, decided to rain on Thoratt’s parade by dropping his own track titled ‘Snakes’ on the same day! Coincidence? We think not!

Fans were torn between excitement for Thoratt’s new jam and concern that it might be a diss track aimed at Emiway. Comments flooded in, with some fans pledging loyalty to Thoratt no matter what, while others defended Emiway, the OG who helped Thoratt climb the hip-hop ladder. One user wrote, “Jisne banaya usko dhass mat dena bhai”, another said “Jisko tu saanp bol rha who hi tera Seedhi tha”.

But here’s the kicker: this feud ain’t over, folks! With tensions running high and diss tracks dropping like mixtapes, the rap world is on edge, eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this saga. Will Thoratt’s ‘Saanp Seedhi’ bite back at his former label? Will Emiway clap back with his own lyrical firestorm? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: this rap battle is about to get lit! Stay tuned, fam!
