Desi Rap fans, in the recent turn of events, Raga’s new track is here to set fire to the Desi hip-hop scene. Raga released his new track “Gandi Bimari” on 31 June for Mirzapur, a well-known action crime thriller series. And it is an absolute banger!!!

We do not know where to begin with when we talk about this track. The beat, the flow, the lyrics, the music video and Raga’s rap… everything has left us in awe. To begin with, the music video was an absolute cinematic masterpiece. With a few snippets from the upcoming season of Mirzapur along with Raga’s realistic acting, one might assume that Raga is acting in the series. The cinematography was brilliant and the way it synced with the lyrics and the beats was mind-blowing.

Moving on to the lyrics. The lyrics are very relatable and focus heavily on the aftermath of gaining power. While the track is to be a part of the series, the lyrics stand as extremely realistic and relatable. As Raga puts it “Gaddi ki Gandi Bimari”. The desire for the throne is a dirty disease that forces the person who sits on it to mistrust everyone. They are forced to live with the constant fear of someone overtaking them and cannot get along with anyone. The fear of deceit and betrayal follows them everywhere. 

Many desi hip-hop fans have also taken to the comment sections to express their excitement about this new track. Few of the comments are : “No one better than Raga bhai to do this”, “Ayyyee krdiya bhai scène”, “ICONIC SHI this one going down in the history… proud of u boys” , “Desi Hip Hop won today!!”, “Safachatt kar diye hai bhaiya”

We would also love to dedicate a moment to appreciating Raga’s exhilarating and realistic acting skills in the music video. It is hard to believe that he has not acted in any series or movies yet. 

We hope that this insanely talented rapper has more opportunities to show the world what he can do and what he can be. It is no doubt that if given the right opportunities, Raga can be even bigger than he is now. We hope with such amazing talent, he is able to excel further in the future.
